Monday night’s faceoff with the unbeaten San Francisco 49ers was the “craziest game I’ve ever been a part of,” said Seattle Seahawks QB Russell Wilson. It was a back-and-forth ride for NFL fans. During overtime, Wilson threw a rare interception; however, the Seahawks got the ball back due to a missed field goal by San Francisco backup kicker Chase McLaughlin.

It’s not a good idea to give Wilson another opportunity at winning a game. On third-and-three and time ticking running out, Wilson was able to escape the pocket and scramble for 18-yards. The first down he achieved would allow Seattle kicker Jason Myers, who missed a few a week earlier, to redeem himself with a spectacular goal.

The Seahawks’ 27-24 win over the 49ers was yet another Week 10 upset, as the home team was favored by six points. It was a good result for bettors, as the majority of the money was wagered on Seattle.

Underdogs went 9-3-1 against the spread in Week 10.

MVP Odds

Wilson went 24-34 for 232 yards, one touchdown, and the OT pick. Also, he ran for 53 yards, including the crucial18-yard last-minute escape.

After the game, Seahawks left tackle Duane Brown said, Russell Wilson is the best quarterback in the league. When you have him under center, I don’t care how much time is on the clock. We feel like we have a chance.”

As mentioned in the Casino.org website, after his exciting performance, Wilson’s MVP odds are shortening even more. FanDuel cut his line from +250 to +160 – a difference in implied odds of 28.57 percent to 38.46 percent. A $100 bet now nets $160, if he is awarded the honor.

Consequently, Baltimore QB Lamar Jackson’s MVP odds lengthened from +250 to +260. Houston QB Deshaun Watson is third (+600), Green Bay QB Aaron Rodgers fourth (+700), and Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes fifth (+1200).

Season Props

Now there are zero unbeaten NFL teams with the 49ers’ loss. FanDuel had San Francisco’s odds of going a perfect 16-0 in the regular season at +1100 (implied odds of 8.33 percent) before last night’s game.

Niners linebacker Fred Warner said, “Everybody is pretty disappointed. But at the same time, this loss is not going to define us. We have an extremely tight-knit group.”

San Francisco hosts the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday, and then has a difficult stretch that includes the Packers, at the Ravens, and at the New Orleans Saints. The combined record of the three latter teams is 22-6.

The Seahawks will play at the Eagles, host the Vikings, and then play at the Rams after a bye week. Those three teams have a collective record of 17-11. The last winless team in the NFL is the Cincinnati Bengals. Oddsmakers had the team’s regular season over/under win total at six games before week 1. To win, Cincy needs to win out for the over.
