The portfolio of SBC events has increased considerably into 6 events as the year progressed. In 2020, a number of changes would also be made to further improve these events. For instance, CasinoBeats which would take place in Malta will be a standalone event. While the maiden SBC summit will hold in Barcelona, in September 2020.
But before we discuss what the year 2020 has for SBC, their sponsors, partners, delegates and exhibitors, the 6th annual SBC Awards, was a massive success on Tuesday evening, 3rd of December. For now, that is what we’ll focus on.
The Managing Director of SBC, Andy McCarron, said

He further added
“The SBC Awards moved to a new, bigger venue – Battersea Evolution – this year to accommodate around 700 guests. As well as the awards ceremony, guests enjoyed a Champagne reception, a fantastic three-course dinner and a very lively after-party that ran into the early hours, complete with entertainment, DJ and complimentary drinks.”

Although celebrating is one of the major reasons for the SBC awards, so far, the criteria used to select the awardees have been adjudged to be fair. SB uses two separate judging processes behind the scenes. This also depends if the award is on the operator’s side or the supplier’s side.
“We open the voting on the operator and affiliate awards to people who we feel really take an active interest in the industry – people who attended this year’s Betting on Football, Betting on Sports and CasinoBeats Summit conferences! This means the winners in all these categories have the satisfaction of not only picking up the award, but also of knowing that their peers have recognized them as the best of the best.”
He also added “For the supplier categories, we have a judging panel of senior figures from the industry who are ideally placed to identify key innovations and exceptional service levels. Winners of the supplier awards can be certain they have a product or service that is of genuine benefit to operators.”
According to Calvin Ayre, it is no secret that SBC prides itself as one of the outstanding networks that create amazing experiences. This has been a core of their foundation. They are one of the best organizers for social events which are all dedicated to sports betting industry.
The award is not just a networking event for people of the industry, it is also a way for SBC to say thank you to the dedicated people in the industry.
According to McCarron, he said. “We work with the best operators, affiliates and suppliers throughout the year and the awards are a great way for us to demonstrate our appreciation of the companies who play such an important part in our success by speaking at, sponsoring, exhibiting at or simply attending our events.”
One of the major things the SBC Awards do is to send a message of positivity. This is a wonderful way to end the year. One thing that we salute the industry for is the innovation, growth, resilience and excitement it has demonstrated.
