It has been all over the news on the tough times the Novomatic group has been facing in its native country, Austria. But it seems all is not lost for this popular gaming operator. Just recently, on December 9, the company released a press statement that it had just opened a new casino in Spain, the third one in a period of five months.
The new casino is located in Granada City, making it the first of its kind to be opened in the city in over 100 years. News reaching CalvinAyre.com, reports that the casino, which is to be a part of the Novomatic Admiral Gaming club Spain’s arm, is state of the art.
Besides being located near the center of the mountainous city, Admiral Granada casino is equipped with the latest gaming equipment is plentiful. This includes live gaming tables that offer the latest gambling options that include the Caribbean stud poker, the American roulette, and blackjack.
It also has 110 video slots, well-distributed within the casino, offering a variety of electronic roulette offerings and jackpots. The icing on the cake is that the casino has a sports bar that will provide coverage to most of the major sporting activities. The casino will also host local poker tournaments regularly. In the same press release, the company added that the new casino, Casino Admiral Granada had brought Kaori down from Seville in particular to Granada.
Kaori is a famous Asian restaurant, popular for its excellent Shushi and Teppanyaki recipes. To complete the awe at the new casino is an all-purpose event venue that is equipped with the latest technology. This makes the venue the perfect place to hold birthdays, weddings and other social gatherings, seminars and even business meetings.
The grand opening was attended by almost 800 people, locals, politicians and community representatives included. During the event, the managing director of Novomatic Admiral Casinos Spain arm, said that the new casino assured its customers of gaming experience and entertainment like no other. He also mentioned Andalusia as being a very crucial market for Admiral and Novomatic. However, what he did not mention is how and who the board of management intends to appoint as the in-charge boss, or whether the top position of the business would remain as they are for now. In most cases, Novomatic has been very specific on who they want in the top seats of their business.
Admiral Casino San Roque was the first-ever Admiral Casino venue to be launched in Andalusia. It is situated on the Mediterranean coast in the city of Malaga. Casino Admiral Sevilla was the second to be opened. It is located in the city of Seville and was opened in June 2019. Previously, the Casino Admiral Sevilla venue was that of another casino Gran Casino Aljarafe.
It cost the Novomatic Group a cool 6.7 million dollar to renovate the place to its current situation. Well, it seems Novomatic Group might be abandoning operations in its home country and setting up in Spain.
