Manchester City remains favored to win the Championship title; there is no real threat to the team as the Championship enters the knockout stage. DraftKings has listed Manchester City favorite to win Championship at an odds of +325. The team has more vigor to win Championship after it falls 14 points behind Liverpool in the Premier League title fight.

Still, with that in focus, City manager Pep Guardiola said that the team needs to play well to win Europe elite title:

“That is the level we face, against Liverpool, United, Barcelona, Madrid, Juventus. They are the teams we have to face, and the reality is that maybe we are not able now to compete with them. We have to improve and accept it and move forward,” Guardiola to Sky Sports.

Liverpool is the second favorite in the Championship title race. The team was almost ousted in the group stage but miraculously beat Red Bull Salzburg to qualify the group stage E. According to, DraftKings is giving Reds an odds of +500 to win the second consecutive Championship.

Other Premier League teams that have qualified for the round of 16 include Tottenham and Chelsea, putting a total of four teams in Championship race from England. DraftKings is favoring England teams to take the title at odds of +115. Spain follows with an odd of +225 of winning the Championship. Four of La Liga teams have made it to the round of 16; they include Barcelona, which has an odds of +600 of winning the title, Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, and Valencia.

Other notable teams that have made to the round of 16 include Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich, and Juventus. The round of 16 is set to start on Monday; each knockout will be played in two-match series in each team’s stadium. The total number of goals will determine the winner. The Championship final is scheduled on 30th May in Istanbul, Turkey.
