Desert Diamond Casino
My favorite casino that I consider my own private vacation has to be the Desert Diamond Casino in Tucson, Arizona but if you are not near the area of Tucson, you can always visit the Desert Diamond casino in Sahuarita and still get the same entertainment and excitement. If you are in the area of Phoenix you will be having a lot of luck soon because Desert Diamond is building a resort in the West Valley region of Phoenix. I really like that the Desert Diamond resort that will be in West Valley will provide plenty of new jobs for the community.
The Tucson Desert Diamond Casino has slot machines and they have recently added a few new slots such as the “Golden Dragon” and my Favorite “The Hangover”, which is based from the movie. The thing I like about playing the slot machines in Arizona is that they have Certified Loose Slots at both the Casinos so you will be able to get a higher payback percentage. The loose slots are available every day and all day. The Desert Diamond Casinos have taken the 1st place wins for Best Promotions”, Best Slot Tournaments, and Best Video Slots by the 2014 Best of Native Southwest. Many of the Casino Player readers have voted that in their annual poll that Desert Diamond Casino “hits the jackpot” so that makes your chances of getting big money much better.
If you don’t enjoy slot that much, then you can enjoy hitting the Poker and Blackjack tables at the Desert Diamond Casino in Tucson. For those who have never played Poker or Blackjack before, you can get help from the dealers will teach you the basics and also give you expert hints. The poker room has a total of eight tables in the Tucson location and they are available 24 hours a day and the blackjack tables are available 24/7 also. The active players that play poker like to enjoy the tableside service the casino offers with a 50% food discount. At the Tucson location, they have “The Poker Sunday Showdown” which goes on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings at 7pm and the events is going to all this month and lasts until April 29. If you choose to enter the Poker Sundown Showdown, you are best to register at 5:30pm to secure your spot. If don’t want to play in the Poker Sundown Showdown, then the “Poker Cup of Coffee Tournament” would be your next choose especially if you are a morning person because the tournament starts at 9:30am and you must register at 8am. The Poker Cup of Coffee Tournament is going on now until April 30. All the poker tournaments require a minimum of 10 players. The Poker Sunday Showdown requires a maximum of 50 players and the Poker Cup of Coffee Tournament requires a maximum of 40 players. The buy-in for both tournaments is $35 for 2,000 tournament chips. The Tucson and Sahuarita locations both have the “Straight Jack Progressive”, which allows you to set side bets on blackjack and win 200 times the wager you bet and the progressive jackpot. If you love blackjack, but don’t like to bet a lot of money, that’s fine because you can only bet two dollars on the blackjack wager and a dollar on the straight jack side bet and win thousands of dollars.
If numbers are your game and you want something different away from table games and slots, then Keno is available at both the Desert Diamond Casinos. Keno is played every day in Tucson from Sunday through Thursday and it starts from 7AM to 12:30AM and on the weekend you can play Keno on Friday and Saturday at 7AM to 2 AM. At the Sahuarita location, Keno is played on a daily basis from 10AM to 10:30PM from Sunday to Thursday and on the weekend you can play Keno on Friday and Saturday from 10AM to 12:30AM. There are many prizes you can win just playing Keno such as receiving a $5 discount for purchasing $25 or more from the Keno Counter and based on a buy-in of $50 you can receive a $5 coupon. There is also a bingo room in the Tucson location with 300 seats and sections for non-smoking and smoking. The bingo room offers free beverages and room is open from Wednesday to Monday and the events are from 1:30PM for eye openers, 2:00PM for Matinee session, 6:00PM for the early bird session, 6:30PM for warm-up session, and 7:00PM for the evening session.
The Diamond Café is a restaurant located in the Desert Diamond Tucson location and they are open every day of the week. Their breakfast menu has the classic and always good diamond platter, which comes with two eggs, ham, bacon or sausage links, café home fires, and toast. The bone-in ham steak and eggs, which is my favorite on the menu, comes with two eggs, ham steak, café home fries, and toast. The big breakfast on the menu is the same as the diamond platter, but it comes with three eggs, bacon or sausage links, café home fries, homemade biscuits, sausage gravy or pancakes, syrup. The other things that are on the breakfast menu is French toast, omelets, corned beef hash, fruit plate, yogurt and fruit, cinnamon rolls, and oatmeal. The lunch and dinner menu have seafood such as fried calamari, blackened shrimp, shrimp cocktail, salmon, and Atlantic cod. They have some delicious mac and cheese bowls and my favorite is the chipotle chicken it will melt in your mouth. If you have the taste for a steak, you can never go wrong with the rib eye steak.
A different restaurant called the “Ko:Sin Ki: Buffet” offers a huge variety of different foods on different days. The restaurant is closed on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays, but on Thursdays they offer the All American buffet, on Friday they have the Fiesta buffet, Saturdays they have the Gulf Coast Seafood buffet, on Sundays they have Sunday Brunch from 10am to 2pm and the International Dinner buffet from 4pm to 9pm.
Diamond Grill, Classico Pizza, and Coffee Bar is a restaurant in Tucson location that offers all styles of pizza and you can buy them in slices or buy a whole pizza. The coffee is always freshly brewed and it will definitely give you a perk to keep you gambling. If you need to grab something fast, you can always get a shrimp basket, double cheeseburger, or one of my number one choices the Philly cheese steak, and there are many more great sandwiches and food you can get from here.
The Sahuarita location offers restaurants such as the Agave, which have beef, seafood, pasta, and different specialty dishes, Diamond Buffet, which has great barbeque on Mondays and best seafood buffets on Fridays, Diamond Grill offers breakfast, salads, soup, and sandwiches.
If you are in Sahuarita and looking for a good bar to hang out, then go the Desert Diamond Casino to have a few beers and a cocktail while watching your favorite sports games. I like that you are able to get $2 off on all cocktails and draft beers so that will allow you to kick back a few more drinks.
If gambling is not what you like, well you can dance up the night at the Monsoon Nightclub in the Tucson Desert Diamond Casino. They play a wide range of music to dance to and they are open every Friday night at 9PM to 2AM but my favorite thing about this club is there is no cover charge. On Saturdays, the club opens from 9PM to 2AM and they play the best Tejano and tex-mex music that is out to keep dancing all night. Because they play Tex-Mex and Tejano music in the Monsoon Nightclub, they call Saturday night “Noches Caliente” and the cover charge is $5 and ladies get in free.
Desert Diamond Casinos both have retail shops available in their casinos that sell the best gifts to take home or put on such as high-end jewelry, handbags, and other top fashion items. At both the Desert Diamond Casinos, they have the banquets and Catering facilities for meeting that are great for business seminars for 20 guests and luncheons for up to 300 guests.
The Sahuarita Desert Diamond Casino doesn’t offer a hotel, but the Tucson location does. Every room hotel comes accommodated with free wireless and hard-wired internet access, in-room safe, refrigerator, coffee maker with ceramic mugs, 46” HDTV with Cable and On-Demand movies, and many more. The hotel has a conference/meeting room, pool, hot tub, fire pit, fitness center, business center, gift shop, four dining outlets, concierge service, and complimentary airport transportation.
