The State of North Carolina is currently the host of one Casino with another one designated to open in 2015. After the newest one opens in 2015, the state will lay claim to being the home of three Casino type legal gambling facilities.

The Eastern Band of the Cherokee Indians owns each Casino. Another facility operating in the state is the Cherokee Tribal Bingo. Although the Bingo hall doesn’t have roulette tables, poker and slot machines, it is classified as a gambling facility. Major prize monies are played on the games at the Bingo Center in Cherokee, North Carolina.

The center is open Wednesday-Sunday with a 1,000-seat capacity. Hours of operation usually begin at 4:30 pm with early bird sessions at 5:30 pm and regular sessions starting at 7:30 pm. The Cherokee Bingo facility awards major jackpot prizes in the thousands of dollars weekly to grand prize game winners. They have a super Saturday session starting at 12:00 noon.

Cherokee Valley River Casino & Hotel

North Carolina will become home to the Cherokee Valley River Casino soon. This casino will feature 1,200 slot machines and an estimated 50 table games available for gambling. Fine buffet dining will be available to gamblers to get a break from the action. The Casino will include 60,000 Square feet of gaming space and a spacious 300-room hotel for gamblers to rest during their stay at the Casino resort.

This Casino is being built on 85 acres of tribal land with room for expansion in the future as the popularity of the facility begins to grow. Caesars Entertainment will manage the operation of the facility once it opens. Currently, there is no designated time set on the date of the grand opening.

The Casino will be located near Murphy. North Carolina. It will be only a few short hours of driving time from various locations such as Atlanta in Georgia, Knoxville in Tennessee, Chattanooga in Tennessee and Greenville, South Carolina.

Harrah’s Cherokee Casino Resort

A recent $650 million expansion project completed in 2012, enlarged the gaming floor space, added a third hotel tower, luxurious spa and new parking garages to the facility. Other additional amenities included a 3.000 seat event center and a pool for children. Many additional food and retail outlets have moved into the Casino area. This facility has fast become a premier hot spot for gambling in the southeastern United States.

Located at the entrance to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park brings many more people to the resort annually. The Harrahs Cherokee Casino is spread across 56 acres of land owned by the Eastern Band of Cherokees.

The gambling floor has 3,500 slot machines and 100 table games in operation. Gambling is available 24 hours a day. Dining facilities are superb with an all you can eat buffet of choices from Italian, Mexican, American and other countries from around the world. A dozen top restaurants are available nearby.

The Casino hotel can accommodate thousands with over 1,100 rooms onsite. The Madera Spa is enormous at 18,000 square feet. With so much going on at the Casino resort, people can spend an entire week being able to find plenty of things to do. Golf is available in just a short few minute’s drive from the Casino.
