Races of 3/16 track at 330 yards, 5/16 at 550 yards, 3/8 at 660 yards and 7/16 track at 770 yards are ran on a quarter mile track in all weather conditions accept freezing weather. They also have a dog adoption program. The track is four climate controlled floors with a restaurant on the second floor overlooking the track. Gulf Coast dog racing track is only open for simulcast racing.

Texas offers horse racing in several venues Texas Horse Tracks. These tracks are Lone Star Park in Grand Prairie, Sam Houston Race Park in Houston and Manor Downs in Manor, as well as, Gillespie County Fair in Fredericksburg, Saddle Brook Park in Amarillo and the Austin Jockey Club in Travis County, TX. Most of these tracks have live simulcast every day, but racing is limited to certain seasons of the year. Sam Houston Race Park resumes races in January 2015, but all other race tracks have to be checked because the schedules vary greatly.
